Native to Central and South America as well as Southeast Asia, Black Palmwood or ‘Royal Palm’ is distinguished by its tightly packed black and tan grain that contains no growth rings, knots or defects. Taking from just the exterior two to three inches of the tree, this veneer is carefully curated in small yields in consideration of the softness of the tree’s inner core. This veneer has been sliced to a thickness of 3mm.
