| Ebony, Macassar Quartered. Quarter cut with faux flat cut, broad, consistent straight stripe. Thirty years ago we called this type of Macassar Ebony "Coromandel" to distinguish it from other Ebonies. The blacks are a little deeper and sharper (tres charbonne) and the lights are brighter. It's tighter and smoother than most with a nice luster. Dark and exotic yet bright and alluring-the premium level of a luxury specie. 6.5-7.5" wide by 91-93" long. Makes attractive book match faces. |
